Can it work alongside our existing keys?
Yes, and most buildings run exactly that way: credentials on the primary doors, a master key system behind it. We design both so they actually work together.
What happens in a power outage?
That's specified on purpose, door by door: fail-safe or fail-secure per opening, per fire code and per what the space needs. You will know exactly how your building behaves before we install.
Do we need a monthly subscription?
Depends on the platform. Some are cloud-managed with a fee, some run on hardware you own outright. We'll lay out both and what each costs over five years, not just at purchase.
Can employees use their phones instead of a card?
On many current systems, yes. It cuts down on lost credentials, though it's worth keeping a few physical cards for visitors and contractors.
